The Best of Mine Planning Articles 2015

Mine Planning Articles

As the festive season is fast approaching we would like to reflect on the past year and share the most popular articles published. This year was a good one for us as we achieved our objective to create a dedicated site that shares knowledge and expertise in applying optimization to mine scheduling. Mine Planning articles were launched on 2nd June 2015 and since then we have published 19 articles, written by mining specialists.

As we all know, the situation in the mining industry has continued to be very tough this year. John Battista, one of our authors, puts positive spin on the current situation with this message: “I’ve been through a few of these downturns and it’s important to understand that our industry is cyclical and there is not much we can do about this. But what we can do is to think outside the box about how to apply optimization principles and technology to mine planning under such changed and challenging conditions. This is the reason why Mine Optimization exists.” We are very pleased to see the growing number of readers who find our articles helpful and we hope this trend will continue throughout the next year as well. We appreciate all of the support we have received during our first year at Mine Optimization, and we hope that 2016 brings happiness and success for you all.

And finally, here is our list of the TOP 3 most popular articles by page views – Enjoy!
